Colorado health officials alongside the state Department of Revenue issued a mandatory health and safety advisory recalling specific cannabis vaporizer products manufactured by Staycon LLC, operating under the brand name Craft. The enforcement action targets 49 distinct vape products formulated with ingredients contaminated by methylene chloride, a hazardous industrial solvent classified as a carcinogen. These tainted products achieved widespread distribution across more than 400 licensed dispensaries throughout the state.

Regulatory bodies initiated the recall following the discovery of the solvent, prompting immediate quarantine procedures for remaining inventory. Dispensary owners and retail buyers must cross-reference their current stock against the published list of affected batch numbers and remove all matching items from shelves immediately. Consumers possessing the recalled vapes are instructed to discard them or return them to the point of purchase.

This incident highlights the critical need for robust supply chain oversight and rigorous third-party testing protocols regarding extraction solvents and input materials. State regulators continue to investigate the contamination source within the manufacturing facility, which may lead to additional compliance audits or administrative penalties for the producer. Retailers face potential liability if proper quarantine protocols are not swiftly enforced across all affected storefronts.
